Brush Seal System

To minimize leakage between airstreams, Ostberg offer an adjustable double-brush sealing system with built in supporting double plastic blade sealing. To improve the strength in the brush sealing, the brushes and plastic stripes are sewn together with 1 to 3 sew lines (depending on brush width). Ostberg’s Brush sealing system provide inherent flexibility allowing the Brush seals to bend following the variations during rotation.

This gives a sustainable high level of sealing during rotation or while touching a rotating mechanism (e.g., rotor). The flexibility in the brush sealing gives a light contact between the sealed area and the sealing, resulting in extended service life.

Suitable for both periphery and middle beam sealing system.
